JPL Facility Team Reviews Cost Estimates

The Low Temperature Microgravity Physics Facility project (LTMPF) presented its Facility Class Payload Bottoms Up Review (BUR) on Tuesday, Jan. 25th to representatives of NASA HQs Code UG, of the Microgravity Research Office (MRPO) at MSFC, and of the ISS Payload Office (OZ) at JSC. The payload office stated that the level of detail of the science, engineering and financial data presented was what they needed to understand the status and the issues of the project. All the options presented will be fine-tuned for further evaluation by POP 2000 submittal.

The project proposal to slip the PDR review to October 2000 was accepted given the maturity of the interfaces with the space station and launch carriers.
