Project Scientist Speaks to Physics Department

Low Temperature Microgravity Physics Experiments Facility Project Scientist Dr. Melora Larson of JPL gave the opening lecture for the winter quarter colloquium series at the University of California at Irvine physics department. She spoke on "Low Temperature Research in Microgravity on the International Space Station". The audience learned about the significant recent progress made in the development of the Low Temperature Microgravity Physics Experiments Facility. Dr. Larson also described the current NASA Research Announcement that would allow members of the audience to apply to perform science experiments in microgravity.
