JPL Delegation Performs Information Exchange on Fundamental Physics Experiments in Space

Ulf Israelsson, John Pensinger, and Don Strayer, all from JPL, participated in the 3rd International Workshop on Low Temperature Physics in Microgravity held in Chernogolovka, Russia. At the workshop, scientists, technologists, and engineers representing 18 countries made over 70 presentations and discussed recent research accomplishments and plans for space research in fundamental physics. Israelsson described the fundamental physics research program being supported by NASA. Pensinger detailed the design and the construction progress for the Low Temperature Microgravity Physics Facility (LTMPF). Strayer told how a precision experiment to test the gravity force's inverse square law at short range can be performed on the ISS.
