Fundamental Physics Investigator Becomes Fellow of the American Physical Society
Don Jacobs, professor of physics at The College of Wooster and a principal investigator on a NASA
Fundamental Physics grant, was just elected to be a Fellow of the American Physical Society from
the Division of Chemical Physics. As you may know, each year no more than one-half of one percent
of the membership of the APS is recognized by their peers for election to the status of Fellow in
The American Physical Society. Jacobs was recognized by his peers for "contributions to the
understanding of critical phenomena in liquids, and for sustained mentoring of undergraduate students
engaged in research".
