JPL Team Presents Microgravity Demonstrations to Cherry Blossom Festival

Team members of the LTMPF project at JPL spent the April 5-6 weekend demonstrating free-fall effects at the Cherry Blossom Festival in Pasadena, CA. Using a drop tower microgravity demonstrator, Don Langford, Hyung Cho, Rolf Danner, Don Strayer, Yuanming Liu, and Inseob Hahn showed how removing gravity effects enabled scientists to examine other forces in greater detail. Organizers estimated that over 11,000 visitors attended the festival this year.
