JPL Team Shows the Public Why Experiments Should be Performed in Space
Employing a drop tower microgravity simulator and a tableful of liquid nitrogen tricks,
a team of volunteers from the JPL low temperature microgravity project spent Saturday
and Sunday explaining microgravity effects to visitors to the JPL Open House. While
attendance numbers were somewhat reduced over previous years, the microgravity displays
were thronged by the crowds over both days. As is shown in the photo, curiosity about
science knows no age boundaries.
